Simply fine

I was at the dentist yesterday and as I sat down, I looked up and saw a Karen Sylvester print of Macaripe Beach. I smiled to myself, thinking that this was exactly what one would expect in such a space. This dentist likes prints, but he has had much of the same stuff for years. This new Karen Sylvester was just the right scene for the anxious environment of the doctors office.

I have written much about such work, and I am fully aware of certain things in its place, and this was one such time. Certainly there is so much exciting, different work to encourage discussion and interest, but sometimes, a traditional print is literally, just what the doctor ordered.
